AWR®470 SolFree® is the only ribbon in the world to be coated without using solvents, including for the backcoating. SolFree® represents a saving of 365g of CO2 compared to the same ribbon (with average dimensions) produced with a traditional process for the backcoating. The AWR 470 is ARMOR's traditional and highest-selling wax ribbon. A benchmark product in its sector since its creation in 1986. It is also the only ribbon on the market to be produced without solvent thanks to the SolFree technology.

Application

AWR 470 USED AT BALTIKA BREWERY

BALTIKA is the largest brewery in Eastern Europe and in Russia with an estimated market share of 40% through a catalogue of more than 30 different brands. Originally based in Saint Petersburg, BALTICA now owns more than 10 production facilities in Russia with a total production capacity of 5.2 million hectolitres per month.

Considering the wide market that BALTIKA is serving, logistics and traceability are key components of its activity. With the help of ARMOR long term Russian partner BRISTOL GROUP, BALTIKA chose AWR®470 SolFree® wax ribbon as its unique TT solution for most labelling purposes for logistics (cartons and pallets). ARMOR wax ribbon AWR®470 SolFree® was chosen and is now used with a Fasson paper on the different manufacturing sites of BALTIKA.

INKANTO RIBBONS FOR HEALTHCARE LOGISTIC LABELS

This major healthcare company in the UK selected the inkanto AWR®470 Wax ribbon to print logistics labels, so that it could distribute its pallets, to all the major supermarkets with clear visible SSCC pallet barcode labels.

Replacing another wax ribbon on the market, the AWR®470 offers better print quality and label readability, is suitable for high print throughputs (60,000 labels per month) and is more competitive.

This flagship Wax product from the inkanto range is particularly well suited to entry-level paper labels and is successfully used in this application with a fleet of 14 ZEBRA 170 XiIII+ Thermal Transfer printers in combination with material supplied by UPM Raflatac.

AWR 470 SOLFREE AT L’ORÉAL USA

At its production site in Florence (Kentucky), L’Oréal USA manufactures professional hair care products under the brand names Matrix and Redken.
For a long time, L’Oréal Group has been taking steps to reduce the impact of the company’s activity on the environment. In particular, this involves significant effort relating to packaging and logistics.

AWR®470 SolFree® is used by L’Oréal USA to print a range of variable information as labelling on boxes and pallets.
