C80 combo Metal Detector
The metal detector is normally mounted on the infeed conveyor of the checkweigher.
The infeed conveyor is designed with a metal free zone according to the specification from the detector manufacturer. The conveyor is also adapted to fit the detector and in some cases a reject system.
The reject unit for metal can either be mounted before or after the weighing conveyor. Which solution to prefer depends on the space available and the desired statistic function.
When the operator changes product in the checkweigher the information is sent to the metal detector which automatically changes to the corresponding product.
This makes handling much easier for the operator and it minimizes the risk of the metal detector running with incorrect settings. Rejected products will normally be rejected into a lockable stainless steel bin.
The complete solution can be delivered according to full BRC (British Retail Consortium) standard.
Cassel is the preferred metal detector brand of Telteks, but we can of course adapt our checkweighers to all brands on the market if our client has another preferred choice.
BRC Functionality:
The extra functionality in BRC add on increases security of the checkweigher. Includes software and sensors and cables needed. Not used functions can be deactivated in software or by loop connectors on the I/O.
